CAB-made plastic parts as per vintage spec.
Our plastic parts vendor has developed CAB-made knobs even the most serious enthusiasts would get satisfied with, based on extensive research into aged parts .
Line-up
The GOLD Speed knobs were commonly used on Gold Tops in the early 50’s (1953-55),
while the BLACK ones on 50’s to 60’s LP.
The GOLD Bell knobs equipped 1958-60 LP Standard.
And the BLACK were on LP (especially on LP Jr. / Special) as well as 50’s to 60’s.
Be sure to note toggle SW tips are left unprocessed as they get removed from the mold.
Differences of the appearance
As you can clearly recognize it on the photo shown here, among those 3 (the standard (non-aged), the Relic, and the CAB-made knobs), the tone of Gold has impressively been differentiated, and their back have specially got treated to reproduce the look as they age.
Characteristic of the CAB plastic
The CAB-made knobs are remarkable not only for their superficial color, but also for their luminescence under UV light and the touch of moderate “worn-out” to the back side around greenish-blue area.
