MTS Theory

MTS What an easy theory !

1) A guy, wearing a green cap, Greg, was pulling a string to have an exact tone in open string.
2) Another guy, in a red cap, Roger, jumped on the 1st presuming to have a half tone higher.
Greg was pulling it even tighter than what it had been since Roger extended the length. Roger was expecting to hear 1/2 higher tone, but, in fact, he got a little bit “UP” tone since Greg pulled it too tight.
3) So Roger asked Greg to loosen it a bit. Now it sounds right.
Well… I knew it ! Roger crowed.
4) Then Roger got off to have an original tone in open string. But he found it 1/2 lower instead.
5) Roger then asked Greg, “Keep that pulling still, OK.. Can you make it short ?”
6) Now they got a right tone in open string. Again,Roger jumped on the 1st fret, believing he could get it 1/2 higher.
Finally, they made it, for both open string and at the 1st fret.

MTS compensates the string length at the nut by ΔN

On actual installation, octave adjustment at the bridge saddles is required.
