The four Chinese characters (Kanji) are called “Kin-ga-shin-nen” and it means New Year’s Greetings.

It’s one of the traditional Japanese customs.
Adults give some money to children at the New Year’s week.
We hope that the children spend the money to the musical instruments instead of video games...
