Big Island Ukuleles
As you might know, Big Island is a ukulele brand made by a Hawaiian company who has supplied hawaiian koa to ukulele makers around the world.
The company was started to fill a need in the market for resonably-priced, very high quality solid koa ukuleles.
The company can use a quality koa and some other local Hawaiian tonewoods that
they own, this is their main competitive advantage!
HOSCO has started supplying the Big Island ukuleles to all over the world since 2015.
(except the U.S. and some countries that already have a distributor)
Big Island has two series, HONU Series and Big Island Series.
Each series has three different lines.
The concept of HONU Series is turtle.
You will feel the turtle from the shape of headstock and bridge.
On the other hand, Big Island Series has a traditonal looking.
In Big Island Series, not only Hawaiian koa ukuleles but also Hawaiian mango ones are available.
Pickup and cutaway are also available on both series.

Weak Japanese Yen
As you know, Japanese yen has been getting weaker and the the currency exchange rate is almost the same as 2006 on JPY against USD now. ($1.00 = approx. JPY 120)
In around 2012 Japanese yen was stronger. ($1.00 = approx. JPY 80)
Here is an example of comparison.
If you buy one item at JPY 100, you had to pay $1.25 in 2012, but you can buy it at $0.84 now.
That means the price has been decreased by approx. 33% from 2012.
What about euro?
Euro was very strong in around 2007, but it was too strong at that time.
Now the currency exchange rate is almost the same as 2009. on JPY against Euro. (1 euro = approx. JPY 135)
When Japanese yen was the strongest against euro in 2012, it was (1 euro = approx. JPY 100)
If you buy one item at JPY 100, you had to pay 1 euro in 2012, but you can buy it at 0.74 euro now.
The price has been decreased by approx. 26% from 2012.
Please don’t miss a good opportunity!
